Happy first day of November! How trite would it be if I said I couldn’t believe how fast October flew by? Too stereotypical? Well, let me make up for it with an Instagram round up from last month. Here are the 15 most popular (and top-selling) outfits from October!
Starting with this burgundy lace dress above, October saw a whole lot of fall outfits. I couldn’t get enough of the color burgundy and this dress was just perfection. It was included in my fall wedding guest style guide if you missed it! It runs a little small so size up a size!
I also started sharing my work OOTDs in the month of October here on the blog (you can catch them all here). That means there are tons of office appropriate looks now on Visions of Vogue including this blazer! I love the gold buttons and think this piece is the perfect classic for the office. I’d recommend getting your regular size especially if you have broad shoulders. The fit is meant to be a little over-sized but not dowdy looking.
I wore this velvet dress to a dinner I hosted with Simon G. Jewelry at DL Loft here in Chicago! It was a gorgeous night and this velvet dress was the perfect outfit for the event. I’ll also be re-wearing it to my company holiday parties and maybe a few other holiday events as well. The deep jewel tone is definitely a head turner as so many of you DMed me about it before I could even get around to posting it!
I also started breaking out the OTK boots this month because it’s already below 40 degrees here! I have worn these black boots for over a year now and they are my go to! Stay tuned in November for a bunch more on the best boots to survive a Chicago winter.
Navy Blue Wrap Dress (also comes in black with a longer length!) | Tan D’Orsay Pumps | Fendi 3Jours Bag (luxury resale here, new and similar here) | Tortoise Sunglasses | Gold Stacking Rings | Gold Pearl Necklace and Bracelet
Hello work appropriate dress! It’s so rare to find a dress that you don’t have to worry about any cleavage showing and this navy wrap dress is the answer. It’s trendy enough to be on the runway at NYFW but chic enough to be timeless. If I had to describe it, it feels very Devil Wears Prada to me (in the best way). The best part is that it’s currently on sale for $45!! Snag it quick!
PS. Catch more scenes of Chicago in the full post.
These booties are so comfortable and have the perfect heel height! They also happen to be 30% off right now and are still left in a few colors. If you’re looking for a statement, high quality tote, this pink one is by Madewell and is amazing!!
Pink Chenille Sweater (also comes in grey and mustard!) | $22 Twist Front Tee (6 colors!) | $54 Distressed Boyfriend Jeans (size down, they look better on!) | Pink Pointed Toe Mules | Pink Bucket Bag | $55 Pink Rimmed Sunglasses
Give me all the pink things! I love every part of this outfit so much! From the chenille cardigan to these mules (which I’ve styled so many ways already). It’s the kind of collection of pieces you can re-style in endless ways because they are all neutrals. If you’re looking for a twist on the basic tee, this $22 option is one of my favorites, I own it in 3 colors. It’s quite literally, a twist!
All about the casual! I wait about 2 minutes after getting home from work before I change into sweatpants or pajamas. I just love being comfortable on the couch and binge watching shows with Matt! Also, after a long day at the office, it’s about time to relax on most nights.
These shoes are probably my most worn work pumps. I love the D’Orsay cut because I think it’s super flattering. The heel height isn’t that high either so that you can stay comfortable after 9 hours in the office. I own these in so many colors! I’ve also linked this midi dress which I also wore in pink here! This dress is now available in 6 colors so take your pick of a hue that works for you!
If you missed my post on a guy’s thoughts about this ruffled cardigan (and 9 other of fall’s hottest trends), it’s worth a read… and laugh. This ruffle cardigan has such fun details and it’s a neutral so you can be sure you’ll style it multiple ways. I also expanded my SOREL collection with these waterproof booties which are surprisingly very comfortable and easy to walk around in.
This fan favorite fall floral dress is 40% off (finally)! Have some Fs! It also comes in a gorgeous deep red for fall. Size up one size!
Pink Chenille Cardigan (another option here) | $24 Similar White V-Neck Tee | High Waist Skinny Jeans | Pink Mules (I wear these with so many things!) | Marble iPhone Case | Pink Dog Watch | Fringe Beige Tote (fits a laptop!)
Here is another way to style this pink cardigan! You guys loved it so much, I showed you how to make it work appropriate by swapping out the denim and top! This is definitely one way to stay super cozy in the office.
This pleated burgundy skirt was another gorgeous look from October. I loved the monochromatic style and Matt shared his 5 photography tips in this post! If you’ve been looking to hone your skills, give it a read. If you just want to see more photos of this outfit, well, that’s okay too. It’s a beautiful combination and both the skirt and bubble sweater can be worn separately in multiple ways!
Sometimes, you just want a twist on the basic blazer. This pink ruffle jacket is the answer. All the structure of a regular blazer but a little fun added in. This white top underneath is only $21 too and is a must have for layering. Get more details in this post.
Ending this roundup with a bang! This white cowl neck sweater will definitely be on repeat this fall and winter. It’s not too tight around the neck and the oatmeal color makes it really easy to pair with everything – sometimes bright whites are a challenge depending on your outfit! More of Chicago’s Riverwalk are in this post as well as some pretty cute boots!
