When it comes to Thanksgiving outfits, my number one priority is comfort. Being comfortable on a holiday that is all about eating is a must! If I think about outfits that are most comfortable to me, there are 2 that come to mind. So today, I’m sharing two Thanksgiving outfit ideas that are stylish and Thanksgiving worthy.

Outfit 1: The Sweater Dress.

There’s nothing I love more than a sweater dress. It’s all the cozy and all the comfy. If you can find the right sweater dress, it can also be incredibly flattering. I’ve never known any girl to pass on something that’s flattering either. The biggest benefit to a sweater dress is that it covers the food baby you’ll inevitably have from turkey, stuffing, and all the fixings. Not to mention the pie. While I’m not a pumpkin flavor girl, I am all about any other dessert on that Thanksgiving table!

This burgundy striped sweater dress has a fit and flare shape so it covers the (my) problem areas. It’s the “it” color of the season and is currently on sale for a little added bonus. For those of you looking to get more mileage out of your clothing, you can easily re-wear this dress to the office. Pick your favorite pair of black pumps or wear it with these over the knee boots!

Outfit 2: Leggings and a Tunic.

I’m not going to lie. This outfit is my uniform at least 2 days a week during the colder months. I’m a huge fan of these burgundy leggings (yes, these are the faux leather leggings I always talk about in burgundy!). They are ultra slimming and high waisted so you feel hugged at all points in the day. I love them.

Since most people are skeptical about styling leggings for the office, I’ve been doing my best job to try to show you how to make them work appropriate in my daily my OOTDs on Instagram Stories. Hopefully that has helped! My best tip is to get a longer tunic like this one. I own this one in 4 colors (it’s only $38) and I mix and match them with various colors of these leggings.

I really like how the burgundy faux leather pairs so well with these flat black over the knee boots (also 33% off). If you missed my post on the best tall boots for cold weather, these made the cut. They are really good. They also come in a heeled version which I own the “Foxy” shade and have the “Havana” color in my cart. Size up a half size if you plan to wear with thick socks!

Both of these outfits are just so comfortable that they are perfect for Thanksgiving (when you’re about to get uncomfortable from all the food you’re going to eat)! I love that they’re not obviously made for the holiday either so there is no problem re-styling for work, the weekend, or anything in between. They’re both great closet staples that can get a lot of mileage (I talk about that a lot for those that are new here)!

  1. These outfits are so cute!! I absolutely love the color schemes and that pretty purple color. I’m not much of a leggings person, but you definitely might be swaying me with all those Insta stories…;-) Thanks for hosting the link-up!

    Miles of smiles,
