A Summer of Special Occasions with Express

Everything and everyone seem to come alive this time of year and I L-O-V-E it. It’s a serial planner’s dream! In celebration, I’m so excited to team up with Express today to talk what to wear to all those special occasions on the agenda!

One of the things I struggle with is finding looks for every wedding, party, and vacation. I’m not afraid to wear things multiple times but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love expanding my closet a little too. Therefore, I love classic pieces like this little black dress. The fit and flare shape is one of my favorites because of its ability to flatter every figure. Incorporating classics like this into your wardrobe enables you to style the same piece different ways, getting the most mileage out of your closet (and who doesn’t want that?). This LBD would make an amazing bachelorette party option especially if you’ve been asked to wear black. I also love this low back geometric printed sequin dress and this criss cross cut out bodycon! If I was a bride, I’d be wearing this white lace T strap dress – hello, amazing open back!

Another thing that I find helpful during this time of year is owning a strappy sandal in every color. I found these at Express and love the thicker heel. If you’re like me and find yourself on the dance floor shutting down the club, your feet will thank you for that extra support. If you are into the stiletto heel, these are a great option! This blush bowling bag is a total steal (on sale for $42). It’s big enough to carry that spare pair of shoes and a few extra souvenirs!

I was really feeling all the geometric accessories at Express as I was browsing the store. I love this art deco gold cuff for a little Gatsby-ish detail. I’ve also never passed up a statement necklace and this triangle bib is one for the books!
