So excited to kick off the spring series of #FBloggerNation today with my girls! It’s not quite spring per the calendar, but I’ve found it’s always best to start thinking about the next season just a little bit before everyone else. Otherwise, April will be here and you’ll be searching for cute outfits otherwise known as battling stock outs of the best stuff.
Matt and I got the chance to get away for the weekend to celebrate the birthday of one of our dear friends. We went up to Solvang – a cute little Danish town in central California surrounded by wine country. If you missed my Instagram from Saturday’s wine tasting, check it out here. Every time we visit, I’m blown away by how green and beautiful the hills are. If you ever have the chance, it’s a must see!
This ASOS white pleated dress is one of my favorite things I’ve seen so far in 2016. I love that it combines so many trendy styles with the drop waist, the pleated skirt (a subtle nod to my days as a tennis player), and the lace back. Given that it’s white, it can also be repurposed for any wedding event for all you brides out there. Since I just got married last year, I can’t help but let my mind wander there. Don’t hate me. I’d get married every year if Matt would let me plan it. Alas, he isn’t too keen to endure that stress (AKA fun) again.
I can already tell the tan accessories from today are going to come in handy this next season. I always seem to need another pair of tan heels because they go with just about everything. And if they’re lace up, I definitely need another pair. I’m a little OCD about making sure my tans compliment each other because there are so many shades out there. This means I end up picking up various neutral pieces regularly to ensure there is something in my closet that matches. When you have a piece that combines multiple shades like this tricolor crossbody bag, you’ve won the lottery. No need to buy 3 different bags in varying shades of brown. This one matches an array so you can save yourself some closet space. Plus, the style is a little throwback to the 70s!
