It’s the last day of October (happy Halloween!) so you know what that means! This month, it means a few things. First, I’ve lived in Chicago for a full month! I can’t believe that last time I did a round up, I was living in Los Angeles. Sandals and tank tops were a very real part of my daily wardrobe. They definitely aren’t here unless I’m staying inside. However, I’m obsessed with Chicago – truly, obsessed! Stay tuned for more on that.. Second, I’ve rounded up the most popular outfits from Instagram. Today’s post includes 10 different outfits and they are all fantastically fall worthy.
After pulling this together, I noticed there were a few items I wore on repeat this month. This gold tassel necklace seems to be the perfect accessory for every sweater out there. You can untie it to wear it multiple ways (love the versatility) and it elongates your figure. Plaid scarves are a plenty. I feel like plaid has become an extension of my body – like another limb. I can’t go anywhere without grabbing a scarf to drape around my neck. Partly because it’s a means of keeping warm too! I’ve also had a love affair with burgundy over these last 30 days. Turtlenecks, sweater dresses, and bold statement lips (I’m wearing either Bawse or Miss Conduct in all of today’s looks).
Truth be told, I’m in love with fall. Real fall – not the 75 degrees and sunny version that California offers. Chicago is giving me all the feels with the cooler temps! And now, for the outfits. Click on the photo of an item to shop!
I told you this tassel necklace was amazing! It does such a great job of drawing the eye up and down! This dress is on sale but almost sold out so hurry. There are also two similar options with sleeves that are $50 here and here. If the off the shoulder is your thing, try this knit bodycon.
These booties were pretty much on repeat this month! The cognac color is gorgeous and really easy to match with your other brown toned accessories.
This faux suede shift seemed to be another popular item this month! It’s such a fun shape under $100. I had a similar dress last year that I styled with over the knee boots for a different look!
Since dressing work appropriate is part of my daily life, I decided to bring a little of that to my blog this month – especially in light of getting a new job! This black fit and flare dress is super easy to wear (very flattering) and you can never go wrong with a black pump. I love strappy sandals and statement shoes but sometimes the classics can put a special spin on the look.
This burgundy turtleneck tunic was a HUGE hit! I linked to a couple options above because it is selling out like crazy! They’re all long enough to wear with leggings too. And again, this tassel necklace makes an appearance. I’m telling you, it’s so great for sweater weather!
I’m all about the oversized sweaters (and tons of layering) with all these new weather patterns in the Midwest! This blush number was an amazing find and it comes in a few colors! It’s also selling out fast but the olive or tan would also go so well with this outfit!
Let’s talk about the sleeves on this dress! Such cute embroidery! It’s a really affordable way to try the bell sleeve trend at $80 and I love the little extra detail.
Continuing on the bell sleeve trend, I rounded up my absolute favorite statement sleeves above. And because I’m tall, I made sure to pick tops that wouldn’t cut off awkwardly for you tall girls!
This work appropriate grey layered top was one of my outfits for work the very first week. It’s a great piece for the office but you can style it for the weekend too. It’s also got a beautiful flow and I plan to use this to cover all the Chicago style deep dish pizza I’ll be eating over the next few months! It’s on sale for $28 right now too so run!
What did you think? What are you favorite fall items that you find yourself wearing on repeat?
