PS. Make sure you’re following along on Instagram because I’ll be giving some away!
A few weeks back, I refreshed my suede matte lip crayons for spring. I started wearing them on Instagram Stories once I got my order in and boy did you guys notice. I received quite a few DMs about what color and what lipstick I was wearing! I know I switch things up a lot (I’m always testing new things for you guys!) but I love coming back to the tried and true products like these matte lipsticks.
Here is why I come back to these lip crayons:
- The color lasts. Any woman who has dabbled in the lipstick world has had lipstick wear off half way through the day or worse, as soon as she takes a bite of food or drink of water. These suede matte lip crayons have some of the best staying power I’ve tried. Even in the corner of your mouth (this is a problem area for me!).
- Easy application. One wrong move with a liquid lipstick and you’ll probably have to redo your foundation once you wipe it off. Regular lipsticks probably aren’t precise enough. But crayons? Since we’re all used to writing, they give you the perfect amount of precision while being incredibly easy to hold and forgiving enough to smudge around the edge.
- Flattering colors. I’ve tried all 7 shades of these crayons and all 7 are beautiful. I wrote a little about each color and why I love it below! I also included what I typically wear it with and what occasion to give you guys an idea.
Suede Matte Lip Crayon in ‘Monogram’
Monogram is a beautiful neutral color that I love to wear to work! It works really well with pinks (like this top) and any blues. I wore it in Naples with this blue dress!
Suede Matte Lip Crayon in ‘Trademark’
Trademark is slightly more bold than Monogram. I use both of these shades interchangeably though as they are great neutrals!
Suede Matte Lip Crayon in ‘Demure’
Demure is still a great neutral but has a slight red tone too. It’s a great ‘in between’ for when you want something a little more statement worthy but something that isn’t extremely bold.
Suede Matte Lip Crayon in ‘Sorbet’
Sorbet is Matt’s favorite color and yours too! I always get asked about this color. It’s a fun, feminine bold pink that I love to wear in summer with every bright color! It always goes with me on vacation too!
Suede Matte Lip Crayon in ‘Rumor’
Rumor is a mix between red and pink. It’s truly gorgeous!
Suede Matte Lip Crayon in ‘Bombshell’
Bombshell is the best true red I’ve found. I love the tone and it’s one of my favorites for date night in the summer!
Suede Matte Lip Crayon in ‘Crimson’
Crimson is more of a berry red and I love to wear it in fall/winter. I wore it to the Kendra Scott Valentine’s Day event with this black wrap top! It’s another date night favorite and the boldest color of the seven!
I also had the chance to try a few more Glo Skin Beauty products from my last order. One of the items I talked about on Instagram was the tinted face primer with SPF. I used the shade Light. It has a really good texture and consistency (not too thick or too thin) and great coverage. If you want to see it in action, watch the “Face Makeup” highlight on my Instagram profile! You can see just how much it covers!
I also picked up this conditioning lip duo. I’m always trying new lip balms and had really wanted to try a lip polish. This Chicago winter has been brutal on my lips! I’m truly obsessed with the lip polish – I will put it on while I watch TV and just massage it into my lips! It works so well to remove dead, dry skin. The barrier balm goes on really smooth and is great to use after.
I also got this face oil but haven’t had a chance to try it yet. I will let you guys know once I do!
What’s your favorite shade of these suede lip crayons? Are you a bold or a neutral lip kind of girl?
