For my second Friday Five series, I’m talking about Black Friday (duh). If you missed my first post of this weekly series, you can check out the 5 items you need for fall here. And my apologies for falling off the bandwagon last week. I was traveling for work and things got a little crazy!
There is SO much information out there about Black Friday sales right now. Whether your email inbox has been overflowing with deals or you’ve been reading blog after blog, it’s really tough to figure out what you need to shop. So, I’ve decided to round up the best sales I’ve seen this year. You can see the full list of sales here but hopefully this saves you a little time today. I know I’ve definitely gotten super excited for a sale only to realize there’s nothing I’m really interested in.
1. Shopbop – 15% off $200+ | 20% off $500+ | 25% off $800+
I did a round up of the Shopbop sale earlier in the week but I’m sticking to my guns with this one! I ended up shopping the sale twice on Tuesday and had my items delivered by Wednesday. How awesome is it to Black Friday shop and have your items even before the actual day? I love how high quality the items at Shopbop are. This sale is also for the girl that has been eyeing a more luxury good. The items I went into the sale looking for were boots (both Hunter Boots and SORELs) as well as an assortment of cold weather accessories. Here are the items that I snagged from the sale:
2. Madewell – 25% off everything with code THATSALE
I talked about this a little on my list of all the Black Friday sales, but I fell in love with Madewell’s New Arrivals section. They always seem to have pieces that make you stand out just enough without putting you outside your comfort zone. This button back sweater dress is going to come in super handy for me as I layer over leggings this fall/winter! I also ended up buying so many scarves because they were just too beautiful. This diamond printed tassel scarf and this embroidered mauve one went into my cart first. I also picked up this whisper cotton tee in a few other colors/prints because it fits really well (not too boxy like other tees). Let’s also just take a minute to admire this pom beanie – so cute! Now that is something I would wear on my way to a holiday party!
3. J.Crew Factory – 50% to 60% off everything (no code needed)
I know, I know. It feels like J.Crew and J.Crew Factory are always discounting. But, there is one main reason this sale makes the cut and that’s because of the outerwear. I have this fur hooded parka that is 50% off and it’s incredible warm (see how I styled it here). It comes in 3 colors (I have the red) and I can totally see myself wearing it out in the snow. I was also extremely impressed with the sweaters. They are fully stocked which I feel like is so rare. A bunch of great cable knits and fun prints at prices that are actually affordable. Let’s also not forget about this $43 herringbone vest which has been trending for 3 years now. If you haven’t bought into the trend, there is plenty of time because there is no sign of this vest going out of style!
4. Nordstrom – extra 20% off sale items
I’m always skeptical of “Black Friday” sales that don’t discount everything. However, there were a surprising amount of items that mysteriously went on sale between today and last week. Think tons of snugly knit turtlenecks and boots. In fact, this bubble knit sweater was included and I picked it up in another color. I also grabbed this sweater tunic in taupe and hunter green because it’s $22! The most surprising item of the sale? These suede Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots. It’s so rare to see Stuart Weitzman’s on sale and since all of the ones that were in the Shopbop sale have sold out, this is your chance if you’ve been eyeing a pair!
This is also a great chance to get Hunter Boots at 25% off – I’m wearing the green ones in the photo above!
5. West Elm – 15% off $100+ | 20% off $500+ | 25% off $1000+ | 30% off $3000+ with code MOREISMORE
Since we just moved and I’m decorating a new home, I had to include decor. I’ve been stalking websites for months to find the perfect pieces for our new apartment. West Elm is my go to especially for bedding! Snag our white pintuck duvet cover (see here for our full bedroom) or these dotted sheets I just got for our second bedroom! There are also a bunch of great gift ideas especially for the hostess like this rose gold serving set!
FYI holiday decor is also 30% off and it’s absolutely gorgeous! I love this metallic star tree topper and these LED trees (a great option for apartments)! And these silver tree ornaments are just gorgeous!
Happy shopping! What are you looking for this holiday? Did anything catch your eye?
