As y’all saw on Instagram, I spent this past weekend in California for my sister’s bridal shower. I can’t believe she trusted me with doing all the flowers! My mom and I woke up early Saturday to make a Trader Joe’s run (how are their flowers always so cheap yet last so long?). After that, I set up shop in my mom’s kitchen with Alexa jamming out to a little country music. A couple hours later, voila! We had 9 gorgeous white and blush pink arrangements for the tables!
My second favorite part of the weekend was being able to leave my coat behind. You better believe I broke out the dresses! My mom played photographer for me, giving Matt a much needed break. One of the ones I took on this trip was this Tommy Bahama gingham shift. I love a gingham print. It’s so cute! This shift shape is forgiving and it has pockets (yas). It’s also currently 20% off until February 21st!
Since it wasn’t exactly balmy in SoCal, I also brought along this white denim jacket. I didn’t own one before but after seeing these photos, I’m kicking myself for that! It’s such a great thing to layer over a little spring dress. I can’t wait to mix and match with more things this upcoming spring!
Snow boots also didn’t make this trip with me but guess what did! Sandals! These strappy beauties came out and my favorite part is the criss cross straps at the ankle. Soooo I just looked at the website and I don’t think you’re supposed to criss cross them but I like them better the way I wore them! The heel isn’t too high either so they are ultra comfortable. It also minimized the chance of me tripping. With piles of discarded flower stems and leaves around me Saturday morning, I was grateful for that! Now I need to plan a spring break trip so I can wear them again!
All of the girls from FBloggerNation are wearing the dresses from Tommy Bahama’s dress sale that is currently going on! It’s the ultimate dress sale with 20% off some really cute pieces for spring. I think the Thera Stripe Dress in navy would be so cute for spring break! And the Le Tigre! Well, y’all already know this is my kind of dress. Flowy and whimsical prints? Yes, please.
