So excited to continue my A Dress A Day series with something you’ve all been asking for: an everyday work dress! It amazes me how many questions I get about the office! I mean, it makes sense. We do spend 40 hours a week at our jobs and if you’re anything like me, you change immediately into sweatpants when you get home. I guess I always just assumed everyone else led a more glamorous life than I did. You know, that not everyone had the ever scenic view of a cubicle and computer monitor all day long…
P.S. if you haven’t seen it yet, I’ve been trying to Instagram Story my work outfit every day! You can shop all my looks (and anything I mention on there) here.
Props to this navy slip dress for spring! One of my pet peeves when it comes to fashion is the lack of adjustable straps. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried on a dress only to realize that extra material for the chest is sitting about 4 inches too high. That doesn’t even begin to touch on the number of “dresses” that are more like “short tunics” on my long torso. When it’s really easy for a brand to make a piece of clothing adjustable (i.e. with spaghetti straps), it baffles me when they don’t. Why wouldn’t they want to cater to more people?
Boyfriend jeans can be a challenge to style for so many reasons. Actually, denim can be difficult to wear in general. Finding the right pair of jeans is like finding a husband. At least, the search and struggles along the way sure make it feel like it!
Today’s post is all about versatility. I’m all about pieces that you can wear multiple ways. This seems to be a bit of theme lately for me (see my last post for a top you can wear as a cold shoulder and off the shoulder!). I’m so excited to share Evy’s Tree’s pre-fall collection today with this black and blue striped shawl. What a looker!
