Blue Lace Off the Shoulder Top (under $50, also comes in pink!) | Instasculpting White Skinny Jeans | Grey Suede Mules | Zac by Zac Posen Grey Bag | Marbled Sunglasses | White Beaded Earrings | California Necklace | Lipstick in ‘Bawse’
Another Tuesday, another Trendspin Linkup. For today’s post you’re going to have to get creative with me. The theme is ‘Summer Prints and Patterns’ and I chose a three dimensional pattern. Which is totally taking me back to my Mechanical Engineering days of talking lasers and physics daily. Thank god that’s over. It’s called lace and it’s this under $50 off the shoulder.
I know, I know. Y’all seem to love it when I wear pink but I’m a blue kind of girl at heart. Also known as a tomboy. So, I saw this top as a win-win for both of us! And what about that price? After the marathon sale that just ended (you know what I’m referring to), this is a top that won’t make you feel guilty because you’re already getting a deal. Plus, look how cute it is with white skinny jeans.
If you missed where I talked about these jeans before, they’re this magical instasculpting technology that I wish all denim manufacturers started using. They really suck you in. It’s like wrinkle free fabric. It’s 2017. Can’t we figure out something by now? And as someone who has recently been a little alarmed by the number on the scale (as recent as yesterday morning), I’m grateful for that. So while I try to get my deep-dish-pizza-enjoying and pint-of-ice-cream butt back into shape, I’ll look to these jeans to give me that summer bod I plan on getting. Even though Chicago basically said it’s over summer during Lollapalooza this past weekend (it rained on us). Why wouldn’t it?
If you’ve missed my story about our move to Chicago from Los Angeles, there’s more to come. I can’t wait to share the funny things I’ve noticed about life in the Midwest as a California girl. I had an Uber driver this past weekend ask me why I hadn’t started a Youtube channel about my thoughts on Chicago yet. While I’m not a Youtuber (yet), I definitely plan to share via a few blog posts later this year. Apparently my sentiments on this city were too funny for him. But I didn’t want to share them until it got a little closer to those beyond frigid temperatures. You know, the weather that’s so brutal you need something just to motivate you to get up in the morning. So there’s something to look forward to.
And a PSA: buy these earrings. I wear them ALL the time.
One more hint: stay tuned for a killer photo of Chicago on Instagram today!
And here’s the link up!
