This tee is the best! It’s the most comfortable thing and is my go to for travel, casual outfits, and lounging around the house. It’s seriously so good and I always get asked about it whenever I wear it on Instagram stories. Do yourself a favorite and pick it up. Just make sure to size down! It comes in 7 colors!

This fur vest is also incredibly soft. It has such beautiful draping that it’s super flattering too. I can’t wait to style it other ways! I feel like it would go really well with a lace cami too!

I wore these boots earlier in the week if you need more inspiration on how to style them! They are on major sale along with tons of other boots at Nordstrom!

This is also the best bra for not showing any lines! It’s super comfortable and if you’re between sizes, I’d recommend sizing down!

Groovy

beige shearling vest

Flared jeans and bell bottom sleeves: now that’s groovy. I don’t always dress like I’m from another decade but when I do, I go for it. I’m all in. I remember when flared denim was in during high school and I rocked that trend til the end. And probably even a little past the end to be honest. I’m so thrilled they’re back because I love the way they look. These James Jeans flares are at the top of my list because they offer just the right amount of stretch to be comfortable and not give you those dreaded baggy knees. The flare at the bottom is somehow uber flattering too which is the opposite of what one would think.

Since it’s winter, I love layering with vests to stay (a little) warm(er). This shearling vest is sooo soft that I’ve been throwing it on over almost everything lately. Next, I want to try layering it with a neutral knit and a mini skirt. Stay tuned!

This is such an easy weekend look! I threw it together when Matt and I ran out to run a few errands. One of those errands included a stop at the donut shop during which I was grateful for the free flowing nature of this top.

Dress Your Vest

So, I ended 2015 in grey and I’m starting 2016 in grey too. Clearly, one of my New Year’s resolutions wasn’t to expand my color palette. I hope each of you had a wonderful holiday season! We’ve spent the last 2 weeks in Chicago visiting family and friends which has been so nice. It’s even snowed a few times which makes me beyond happy personal although everyone else seems to respond by groaning!

I’ve combined a few winter essentials in today’s post. First, these faux leather leggings. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve worn them in the last 2 weeks whether as pants, with a dress, or under my jeans to keep warm. If you’re looking for thermal leggings, these Nike leggings have saved me big time while I’ve been in Chicago. I’ve been layering them under my faux leather leggings and it works pretty well!

Second, I love this flared turtleneck dress. It makes a great base for shearling vests, leather moto jackets, and all of the plaid scarves you could possibly wear within a season. You can use it to create and edge look or one that’s softer – and if there’s anything I’ve learned from being in freezing temperatures, versatility is key in building a winter wardrobe. It’s a little on the short side so if you’re tall like me, I’d recommend ordering up a size!

Cleopatra Necklace

Dear Miss J Cleopatra Necklace

My favorite kind of necklaces are those that make a statement subtly. A more appropriate name might be understatement necklaces – like this Cleopatra Necklace from Dear Miss J. The strings of black and white pearls are so beautiful they don’t warrant vibrant colors or over-sized stones. This hand-made, one-of-a-kind piece can be dressed up or down for work or play. In my closet, flexibility is key.

Dear Miss J is full of unique pieces PLUS they let you order up to 3 pieces for free just to try them on! Think Warby Parker meets jewelry. It’s shopping from your home risk-free and we all know the importance of seeing things in person. It’s the perfect business model for girls with busy schedules. Shipping is free which, if you dread waiting in line at the post office as much as I do, it’s the icing on the cake. My favorite part is that Dear Miss J is run by a mother daughter duo – there’s nothing I love more than supporting fellow female entrepreneurs!

My initial thought was to pair this necklace with a dress but I wanted to challenge myself by styling it in a more casual way. This Sanctuary Traveller vest was the perfect piece to complement it. Effortless yet structured, it’s fast becoming one of my favorite pieces to layer or wear alone (like I did here). Obsessed with these pockets!

(Faux) Fur Vest & Leopard Booties

Visions of Vogue - Faux Fur Vest & Leopard 1

When Rebels Footwear sent me these killer leopard booties, I knew I needed the perfect outfit to compliment them. I’ve seen a lot of leopard accents lately but when I do something, I do it big. So instead of toning down the fierce pattern with a muted top, I revved up the volume with a leopard one. You can never have enough leopard right? Right. Threw on this faux fur vest because 1. I’m obsessed with vests and 2. it sticks with the animal theme. Wish I could say there was more thought put into it than that like some professional stylist but there wasn’t. Lastly, I’ve teamed up with Rebels Footwear to offer my readers 20% off their site until 11/20 so get to shopping and use code 2020Vision at checkout!

Here are a few of my favorites from their site:

Leopard top (this Equipment one is on sale), BCBG faux fur vest (similar, similar, similar), Paige Denim jeans, Rebels Footwear booties, Wrenn Jewelry bracelets, Beautycounter lip sheer, similar gold necklace here , Marc by Marc Jacobs watch, Forever 21 gold rings and here too
