Going a little more corporate today! This is a twist on a classic with a knit sweater and a pencil skirt. The pink color of the sweater brings a little less traditional look. It’s also a great sweater for spring to pull on during chilly nights. The buttons are functional so you could unbutton them completely. It would be great for nursing!
This button up was one of my favorites from my round up where I included a few different price points. Whether you’re just starting to build out your career wardrobe or several years in, there’s something for everyone. I really like the structure of this one and quality of it. If you’re looking for more affordable options, I always recommend J.Crew Factory and LOFT (when there’s a sale).
Thisblack pencil skirt is another classic. Mine is from my business suit and I just wear it separately every now and then. I always feel like a pencil skirt delivers a chic professional vibe. Usually I wear them with a shirt tucked in to accentuate the waist. However, it’s nice to mix it up. There are quite a few cute skirts out there at Nordstromright now and a few are on sale!
It’s almost that time of year again! Yes, I’m talking about Valentine’s Day! I’m fully aware that the mention of that holiday will either evoke a yelp of excitement or a groan of dread from you. Either way, I don’t see any harm in looking cute. Here are some Valentine’s Day outfits for inspiration this year. Read More
Every girl NEEDS this black ruffle top! I am truly obsessed (and I try to rarely use that word). It’s one of those great tops that can be worn to the office but out on date night. The flirty sleeves make it appropriate for both. It also comes in white and coral!
One of the best ways to dress up and down this top is with different statement necklaces. This one is adjustable at a wide variety of lengths so it’s like 10 necklaces in one. It can be as short as a choker or a few inches longer than I’m wearing it here!
This skirt is another statement piece! I love the fun asymmetrical ruffle. Wearing office attire can get boring so pieces like this keep it exciting as well as stylish. I definitely had my girls who work in corporate offices in mind today! This skirt would be perfect with every black and white top! I’m wearing my regular size and it fits perfectly! The neutral colors also make it a great piece for spring! It’s also 40% off in 3 colors!
Restyling this burgundy mini skirt for the office (first look here)! I just love this color so much! The material is a soft cotton fabric and it’s a really great length for the office. I also feel like this skirt would go really well with my favorite over the knee suede boots from this post!
I also really love this white top. The bell sleeves are just a fun detail that takes this top up a level from a basic. As you guys know, I can never own too many white tops. I feel like they just come in handy so often. This one is also 35% off and comes in three colors (black and blush too). At that price, it’s no wonder my closet is half made up of things that are the color white!
I’m wearing my beige pumps that I love so much too! I just re-ordered the grey because I really like them for the office. You can also get them for a better price herewith code WINTER30! They’re so comfortable and run TTS. I always like to order my regular size, knowing pumps in general tend to stretch out. There’s nothing more annoying that when your pumps are too big and you find yourself walking around like Bambi. Therefore, I always start with them a little snug (but not too snug). When they stretch out too much, I know it’s time for a new pair!
I’ve also been getting a lot of questions about how I walk to work! I don’t wear pumps out in the snow, trust me! I always bundle up wearing my favorite scarf, a good thick parka, and boots. Depending on the day and the weather outside, I’ll alternate between Hunter Boots (when it’s really slushy), SORELs (when it’s really snowy), and UGGs (any time I can get away with them).
What a way to kick off the year! I wanted to dress up a little for the first day back in the office. One of my New Year’s (fashion) resolutions is to incorporate more skirts into my work wardrobe. I just love the way they look for the office! They make me feel fancy!
Both this pink ruffle blouse and burgundy skirt are on sale! Major sale! This top is 60% offmaking it less than $20 and this mini is also marked down to $40! I’d recommend ordering your regular size in the top (it’s never good when tops are too small). It also comes in 3 different colors. And for the skirt, it’s okay to size down! It’s a stretchy material which makes it so that it hugs pretty easily without being too tight. I ordered an XS and am normally a Small and had plenty of room at the waist still to tuck things in – even chunky knit sweaters. I can’t wait to re-style this skirt with other color combinations too! Burgundy goes really well with white, grey, beige, and black if you’re looking for more ideas! You can also see here for more posts with burgundy in them.
