This grey flare dress is so fun! I love the drop waist and was surprised that it is still flattering! It’s such a fun knit texture too – it gives the look of this dress something else. It’s a really great shift shape so you can rest assured that it won’t be too tight for whatever office environment you are in. I love that LOFT calls this cut “flounce” – makes it seem so flirty and fun. And it is!
I’ve styled this dress with burgundy pumps but you could really wear any color shoe with this dress since it’s a neutral. If you are looking to create a different look, you could also do over the knee boots. The dress isn’t so tight that doing OTK boots would end up looking unprofessional in my opinion.
Isn’t this dress the cutest? I love the flattering A-line cut! The faux wrap front works wonders for my figure too. It’s pretty lightweight as well so can easily be transitioned to spring. It would also be wonderful with suede OTK boots! The print is really subtle too – not too obnoxious.
I’m wearing the Bruno Magli pumps I shared with you guys awhile ago but there are similar pairs for less. I feel like beige shoes will never go out of style and can be worn with almost every color combination.
Madewell also makes my favorite basic tee (something called the “whisper tee“) and if you haven’t tried their scarves, they are amazing. Such great quality and I love the unique textures and designs.
This is one of my favorite outfits I’ve worn lately! It’s such a perfect work to weekend look. If you’ve been following along for awhile, I am constantly looking for pieces that can be styled for work and also the weekend. There’s nothing worse than walking into your closet and finding you invested all your money in work outfits! Or vice versa! I love it when you can find versatile pieces!
This little black dress is one of those closet staples you’d wear over and over for years. It’s a easy basic that you can style with riding boots, booties, or your favorite pair of pumps. I ordered my regular size for a looser fit – I hate when swing dresses cling! I also wanted to be able to belt it like this! It’s currently back at full price but I wore another LBD last Friday that is on major sale! I also rounded up my favorite workwear pieces that are on sale here. And just in case you’re looking for some more LBD steal, all of the below are under $80 and great for the office!
Riding boots are my favorite for fall and winter. I love how you can wear them with dresses and denim. There’s just something so timeless about a pair of good riding boots. Mine are by Tory Burch from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and are out of stock so I found a pair I really really love (and they’re cheaper) here. I’ve heard amazing things about Frye (they last longer than Tory Burch boots) and I really love the distressed look of those. I always like to layer thick chunky socks under my boots this time of year to keep warm!
There’s nothing like a LBD! I love the shape of this bell sleeve dress and the print too. It’s such a classic with the shift cut and it really flatters your figure. It doesn’t hug your figure too tight either so it’s still appropriate for the office. The bell sleeves are more subtle than yesterday’s red bell sleeve top that was perfect for date night and Valentine’s Day. If you’re looking for some great sale items, make sure to check out the rest at LOFT right now for some great work options! Including my pink ruffled blouse from Monday’s OOTD! Some of my favorite sale picks are below!
These over the knee bootsare some of my absolute favorites. So good that I got a second pair of the boots. The heel is comfortable enough to wear all day and they actually stay up. There is a drawstring at the top so that you can tighten it to fit whatever your leg size may be too! Since the dress isn’t too tight, these OTKs work really well with it and give you another idea of how you can wear them to the office!
