While this top might not look like anything special (it comes in a few other statement colors), it’s one of those classic work shirts you can wear at any age. I’ve shared my favorite white ones lately but I looked at my closet and realized I had no black ones except this $28 tunic. The rest were too faded or more like something I’d wear out on a weekend. So, I found this one and I love the knotted front! You can also tie it in a bow if you decide to pair with a skirt!
The rest of my outfit is a restyle! I’m also going to grab this grey work tote today. If you missed my post on the best work totes, there’s something for everyone in it. They’re all reasonably priced and can fit a laptop!
I’ve been wanting to write a blogging behind the scenes post for awhile. Blogging is such a new space which can sometimes be so fun and other times can be a lot of pressure. In an effort to remember not to take things too seriously, here’s a glimpse into some of the things that go into it. Read More
I love it when work tops double as date night tops. This black wrap top is just as versatile as the ruffle hem top I posted last week that’s 30-40% off! It’s made of cotton so the fabric is really comfortable. It also comes in a couple different colors. You can also wrap it so that there’s more coverage or less coverage. This top also comes in pink and grey if you’re not a black kind of girl. Here is what they look like – really unique shades!
I wanted to break out a statement necklacewith this top because it is a basic black top. I never remember to style statement necklaces so I always try to wear them when I have a top or a dress that works really well with them. This statement necklace is old but I’ve linked to a few cute ones I found. Here are some fun options to try.
I’m keeping everything else basic with my favorite gold cuff. I love these bracelets because they have little motivational sayings on them. You can pick from any number of sayings. I have a couple different ones plus I love that they are affordable.
This is one of my favorite outfits I’ve worn lately! It’s such a perfect work to weekend look. If you’ve been following along for awhile, I am constantly looking for pieces that can be styled for work and also the weekend. There’s nothing worse than walking into your closet and finding you invested all your money in work outfits! Or vice versa! I love it when you can find versatile pieces!
This little black dress is one of those closet staples you’d wear over and over for years. It’s a easy basic that you can style with riding boots, booties, or your favorite pair of pumps. I ordered my regular size for a looser fit – I hate when swing dresses cling! I also wanted to be able to belt it like this! It’s currently back at full price but I wore another LBD last Friday that is on major sale! I also rounded up my favorite workwear pieces that are on sale here. And just in case you’re looking for some more LBD steal, all of the below are under $80 and great for the office!
Riding boots are my favorite for fall and winter. I love how you can wear them with dresses and denim. There’s just something so timeless about a pair of good riding boots. Mine are by Tory Burch from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and are out of stock so I found a pair I really really love (and they’re cheaper) here. I’ve heard amazing things about Frye (they last longer than Tory Burch boots) and I really love the distressed look of those. I always like to layer thick chunky socks under my boots this time of year to keep warm!
