Asheville makes my list of the 5 best US travel destinations and is the perfect place for a spring escape. With a small town feel, there’s something for everyone from the beer lover to the nature enthusiast. If you’re headed that way or need a weekend trip idea, here’s what to do during a weekend in Asheville, NC.
For all the times I wear dresses, sometimes I just want to wear pants. While I think both options are comfortable (if you find the right dress), there’s something to be said for being able to sit cross legged. What is really love to wear is my Lululemon leggings every day but I doubt my company would consider that appropriate office attire!
Initially, I thought about building up the suspense for this shoot we did while in Asheville. True to form, I scratched that thought as soon as I sat down to write this week’s post. Waiting for something (aka patience) has never been my strength – Matt got all of that! This floral outfit was my favorite look from our long weekend in North Carolina. Hands down, my favorite thing to wear come spring is dresses and this one gives me all those warmer weather feels!
Since both Matt and I are fully employed, we try to take advantage of every long weekend we have to travel. One of the places that has been on my list for a long time was Asheville, North Carolina. I’d been many years ago for a wedding and have family close-ish by in Greenville but I wanted to visit this small artsy town once more. Most importantly, to see the Biltmore Estate. Most of our trips are inspired by some photo I see – some beautiful place that I can’t get out of my head. While the weather could have been better, it was a great trip overall!
Matt and I were in California over the weekend for my little sister’s wedding! It turned out SO well and I was so honored to be her MOH. Seriously, still swooning over all the flowers – I posted a few on Instagram if you missed them! So, to the theme of fresh starts, I’m starting off this week with something different than the usual!
