Goodbye coats, hello light sweaters. I’m off to Los Angeles on business for the rest of the weeks. It’s supposed to be 70 degrees when I land today! Meanwhile, I’m trying to figure out how to dress to go from 33 degree Chi to sunny SoCal. I’m thinking I’ll just freeze on my way to the airport. Does anyone else do that when they travel during winter?
Matt and I had quite a relaxing weekend. Somehow, the plans we had fell through one by one. For once, I wasn’t totally bummed. Back in LA, I was the queen of serial planning. If filling up a Gmail calendar was an Olympic sport, I’d win gold. But after a not so subtle request from Matt to slow my roll, I’ve eased up a little bit. Plus, moving to a new city where you know no one helps! Matt’s up now since he’s from here. Pressure’s on!
So that “heat wave” we had over the weekend? It’s over. Today is one rainy Wednesday! We shot this gorgeous off the shoulder look this past weekend and I can’t wait to break it out again all through spring! It’s such a great transitional outfit! Plus, my sweater, boots, and sunnies are all part of a massive sale going on at Goodnight Macaroon right now!
This weekend was the first weekend in a long time that it was above 50 degrees! I literally had to carry my cold weather accessories. That’s how warm it was! Trust me, there was a day when I shivered at the thought of 50 degrees. I don’t think the majority of people would call it “warm”. But after a few months of living in Chicago, I think I’m finally acclimated to the cold. So after a little perspective, it’s warm-ish. Let’s leave it at that, eh?
