Bringing a pop of color into this Tuesday! Sometimes, I get so tired of seeing blue and grey in the office that I just want to make a statement. This pink ruffle shift dressis the answer. I love the ruffle down the front because it’s ultra slimming. Do you know what I love even more? You guessed it. The fact that you can wear this now through spring. Just layer under your favorite trench coat while it’s chilly out.
A note on sizing: order your regular size if you have any curves at all! I definitely couldn’t have fit into a smaller size and could have worn one size up equally well! I usually have trouble with shift dresses in the hips so if you’re reading this and that sounds like you, size up!
I’m feeling a little glam after coming off of last night’s event with Simon G. Jewelry and Modern Luxury Magazine! So, it’s time to break out the dresses again. I love this grey shift dressbecause it isn’t form fitting so it’s not too revealing for the office. The sleeves also are a deep green hue which is perfect for fall and make for a fun little surprise. I am wearing my regular size!
I’m going to be real with you and say that I sat down to write this post at 11PM last night. The dinner event with Simon G. Jewelry and Modern Luxury Magazine was so fun (check Instagram Storiesfor photos)! Of course, I’m a procrastinator (although I prefer to blame there not being enough hours in the day) so this post was last minute which is why I’m keeping it short. Basically, you need this white sweater dress.
If fall was in a dress, this just might be it. From the deep jewel green hue, to the long sleeves, to the thicker (quality) fabric, I will definitely be wearing this dress for multiple events this fall! Not to mention it comes in regular and petite sizes so it will fit almost everyone! And can I get an amen for this ruffle skirt? While I wasn’t sure how it would fit (read: flatter) on my wider hips, the ruffle flares out below my widest part so it ended up working really well! This would also be a great work or holiday event dress! I ordered my regular size in regular length since I’m tall!
I also noticed a bunch of similar deep green dresses (same designer) on sale so I’ve rounded them up here too just in case!
Not much is needed with a statement dress like this! I’m breaking out my classic pumps yet again and a simple bar necklace. Now that I look at this photo, I could have easily brought in a gold statement necklace too since the neckline is perfect for it. And I paired it with these white druzy earrings!
I literally stalked this ruffle hem dress until it went on sale! It comes in 3 colors but I really loved the black for the office because you can pair some fun statement pumps with it. It also goes so well under a little tweed jacket or workwear favorite for fall. I’ve linked to a few of my favorites below!
I ordered my regular size and wouldn’t recommend sizing down if you have curves or hips! A little honesty about sizing, don’t buy this dress if you usually run into issues where shift dresses are really snug in the hip and overly large in the top (meaning, your’re a pear shape). If you’re more balanced on top and bottom like I am, you should be good though!
