As I hinted in yesterday’s post, today’s outfit might be the winner for my second office holiday party tomorrow. What do you guys think? There’s just something special about this WAYF lace dress that makes it perfect for the occasion.
Ever since I got these burgundy pumps on sale, I’ve been dying for a chance to re-wear them (again and again). I’m a huge lover of the classic pump for the office (as you may have noticed). These burgundy pumps are by Bruno Magli and you can get 20% off with code JENNA20!
I’m wearing this new fit and flare sweater dress with them to keep things classy. I love that this dress is thicker, but not too thick. The cut is one of my favorites too for disguising wide hips. The long sleeves are great for winter too no mater what climate you live in! I’ve found a few more favorites by this designer too!
I’m walking to work in my UGGs and this coat today to stay warm! There is snow on the ground so I might even wear my favorite OTK boots. Last year I felt so restricted by having to layer up for the walk and then being uncomfortable and bulky all day. It also meant I had to sacrifice my style a lot because I was stuck in over the knee boots every day. This year, I learned my lesson! It’s been liberating!
It’s about this time of the holiday season that I start second guessing if I have enough outfits to get me through. Whether you’re the kind of girl that fills the calendar with events or one that prefers one major affair, there’s something special about the holidays! You want the perfect festive ensemble and there’s no shame in that. I’ve shared my holiday dress guide and a silky burgundy dressperfect for office parties and formal events. But if you’re still looking for the perfect holiday outfit, try this lace ruffle hem dress.
A bunch of you have asked me how to wear over the knee boots for the office. Well, here is just one example with this burgundy midi dress! I wholeheartedly believe that they are appropriate if done well. I will be the first to admit they can also be scandalous if done wrong but just be careful. No short dresses or skirts!
I love the way they slim your legs with thisburgundy midi dress. If you missed my post on the best tall boots for winter, these made the cut 100%. I wore them last year to work, to date nights, and to days out with friends. They are quite versatile! And the best part? I didn’t have to buy new ones this year because they are in great shape. Even after wearing them 2-3 times every week for 7 months!
Thisburgundy midi dress is another favorite of mine. I love the slight mock neck (it’s not too confining so that it irritates your neck). The material is a good medium thickness too so it’s not too chunky and still flatters your figure. It would also make for a great holiday party dress! It’s Tuesday and I’m all about the cozy! This grey turtleneck dress is so soft and comfortable that I don’t even mind that I have to sit at a desk all day. While I’m wearing it to work, it’s another one of those “work to weekend” pieces that you can get away with in both settings. This grey turtleneck dress is also not too clingy which keeps it office appropriate.
This is a way to wear over the knee boots to work! It’s harder to make OTKs appropriate with dresses and skirts in my opinion. It’s so easy with jeans and leggings! This silhouette is different though since there isn’t a flare in the dress like the other outfit I wore this week.
Here are a few more of my favorite sweater dresses I’m loving lately if this grey turtleneck dress is not your style!
