You know a dress is good when you buy it in a second color. If you missed how I styled the burgundy version of this midi, you can see the full post here! This dress now comes in 6 colors and although 2 of them are sold out, you can’t go wrong with any color. I’d recommend wearing your regular size – the elastic in the waist will still give you shape even if it’s a little big! Plus, you don’t want to wear something skin tight to the office! It’s also under $70!
Here are all the colors! You can easily wear this dress to the office, on the weekend, or to a wedding too. But if you need more wedding guest ideas, check out my fall wedding guest dress guide!
Along with my favorite beige accessories, I’ll be breaking out this trench coat on my walk to work because it looks a little rainy outside. It’s my favorite trench and the structure of it is really flattering.
Bringing a pop of color into this Tuesday! Sometimes, I get so tired of seeing blue and grey in the office that I just want to make a statement. This pink ruffle shift dressis the answer. I love the ruffle down the front because it’s ultra slimming. Do you know what I love even more? You guessed it. The fact that you can wear this now through spring. Just layer under your favorite trench coat while it’s chilly out.
A note on sizing: order your regular size if you have any curves at all! I definitely couldn’t have fit into a smaller size and could have worn one size up equally well! I usually have trouble with shift dresses in the hips so if you’re reading this and that sounds like you, size up!
I’ve never met a high waist I didn’t like! There is something about this cut that just really works wonders for a female figure. Doesn’t matter if you have no curves or you think you have too many (there’s no such thing by the way). This cut will work for you! This gingham skirt from Dainty Jewell’s is my newest addition to my closet and I can’t wait to style it more ways! The subtle black print makes it really easy to style with everything and it’s under $50!
I love the look of this classic white button down tucked into the skirt. I sized up in the one I’m wearing to give it that relaxed look so I could balance out the structure of the skirt. I wear this shirtall the time! I wear it with skirts like this, with denim untucked, and layered under sweaters during fall and winter! Such a great versatile must have for the career woman!
I’m also back wearing these classic black pumps – I’m slowly collecting every color of these because they are such a great height for the office! Next up is the pink!
Another Tuesday, another Trendspin Linkup. For today’s post you’re going to have to get creative with me. The theme is ‘Summer Prints and Patterns’ and I chose a three dimensional pattern. Which is totally taking me back to my Mechanical Engineering days of talking lasers and physics daily. Thank god that’s over. It’s called lace and it’s this under $50 off the shoulder.
A couple weeks ago I got a question on Instagram that really hit home for me. I got asked what my 6-8 workwear staples were. Genius! Why hadn’t I thought of posting this before? So, if you’re just starting to build your business professional wardrobe, this is for you!
