I didn’t realize how many girls struggle with dry, damaged hair until I had a really bad dye job. Like really bad. I walked out of the salon last February with blue hair. I have no idea what the girl did to my hair but I know I should have walked out of that salon before I even sat in the chair. I literally wore my hair in a bun for 2 weeks afterward. I was so embarrassed. That’s when I realized how important hair is, at least to me.
Moving to Chicago was a huge adjustment on so many fronts. The city, the people, and the weather to name a few. There were things I never had to think about before that I now think about every day! One of those is my skin. Specifically, dry skin. Everywhere. Read between the lines here, people!
I used to be the girl who never wore a bold lip. That was, until I tried one. From there, it was a slippery slope (in a good way). Now, you’ll rarely see me without one unless I’m at work. That might get a little too much attention (in a bad way). A bold red has the ability to up your beauty ante in 30 seconds. Especially if you’re not a makeup person like me, this is an easy way to “fake it”.
Did this week feel like it was longer than it needed to be? It did for me! I am so happy it’s the weekend though! Today, the girls of Blogger Nation and I are giving our own dose of happiness out. This one comes as day 10 of our 12 days of giving series. We are giving away one of Clarisonic’s Mia cleansing devices plus a few accessories!
