Talk about weekend vibes: a Friday post in a bikini is on FLEEK especially with a heat wave hitting Los Angeles in full force over the next few days. There’s no better way I could have ended this recap of vacation style than with a strappy back, some super fun sunglasses, and a barely there bottom! I love this L*Space bikini not only for the color but the fit is incredible – nothing cutting in anywhere (that drives me insane)! Another pet peeve is halter top tan lines (I mean that was really in when I was in middle school but it’s 2015) which is why I usually opt for suits like this with smaller bra straps. Gotta even it out!
A super short post today because it’s 11PM and I just got home from the Forever Unique Fall 2015/Spring 2016 preview, polishing off the remaining pieces of Matt’s jalapeno cheese because no one ever eats at those events so I’m starving! I’m really proud of the fact this cheese lasted 4 days because I can do some serious work on those Trader Joe’s Artisan cheese blocks.
A rare Tuesday post because I am way behind so I’m dedicating this week to vacation style! For anyone planning a last minute summer trip or with a getaway on the horizon, this is for you. This Shopbop dress was perfect for Belize – with shoulders and these incredible sleeves, it combines everything on trend this summer. When I first tried it on for Matt, I was so excited. I walked out to model it (he loves this believe it or not) and asked what he thought. Little did I know I wouldn’t agree with his answer. His response? That I looked like I was severely sunburned and trying to hid from the sun in a hospital gown.
I’ve been obsessed with this Free People summer maxi dress since I first got it last year. Initially, I wore it for our engagement photos which turned our beautifully for those we shot off the coast of Malibu. Before I even had a vision for our wedding, I knew I wanted it to embody a chic bohemian vibe and this dress was that in a nutshell. I also took it with us to Cinque Terre last year and it was the perfect outfit for the sleepy beach town of Monterosso. After a day in the sun, light material and flowing fabric is all that you want to wear, right? It just fits flawlessly into any setting and it’s incredibly comfortable so it’s begging to be worn over and over.
I’ve been trickling in my outfits from Belize since we’ve been back but next week I’m dedicating the entire week to vacation style! And because I’m super excited about vacation style (because it inevitably comes along with a vacation), today I’m sharing this amazing bikini from Sauvage Wear. I learned earlier this year that the monokini isn’t made for those of us with a long torso so thank goodness Sauvage takes a creative perspective on bikinis to keep it fresh. I know I’ve owned about 50 basic triangle bikinis in my lifetime, how about you? Straps to the max which if you’ve ever read my blog, you know makes me beyond happy.
