Goodbye coats, hello light sweaters. I’m off to Los Angeles on business for the rest of the weeks. It’s supposed to be 70 degrees when I land today! Meanwhile, I’m trying to figure out how to dress to go from 33 degree Chi to sunny SoCal. I’m thinking I’ll just freeze on my way to the airport. Does anyone else do that when they travel during winter?
Here are three reasons today is the best day: it’s one day closer to Christmas, we’re giving away Rebecca Minkoff for today’s 12 days of giving, and it’s my birthday! If that isn’t a total ‘drop the mic’ moment, I give up!
With all the excitement surrounding the NSale, I’ve caught myself getting excited for fall. But only a little. It’s hard not to be when you catch a glimpse of what’s coming up for the next season when it comes to fashion! Like this maxi dress. A closet staple for autumn that makes for a perfect piece when transitioning between the seasons!
Happy Monday y’all!! And with that, I’m sure you all groaned. No one likes Mondays. No one. Except for Mondays spent on vacation of course – if you haven’t followed along on Instagramyet, Matt and I are back at it, traveling again! So while I’m likely lounging on a beach in a bikini today, I’m bringing you this lace white dress (the new LWD) which is a summer must have. It’s even called the Summer Stories dress – that had to be intentional right? It also doubles as an amazing bridal shower/wedding festivity dress should you find yourself engaged at this time of year (lucky you!).
Trading my heels out for some comfortable flats a la Sole Society, I’m giving my feet a rest after the weekend. I spend most of my weekend in heels but most of my week in flats so my feet are just about the only thing looking forward to a day in the office. Gold sandals are the perfect touch because everything is a little warmer in summer – both in terms of temperature and color. The tassels on this clutch and the woven texture are practically beckoning you toward a vacation. Of course I couldn’t go without belting the waist because I love to drive that hour glass figure home, y’all.
PS. Both these sandals and clutch are on vacation with me! See how I restyle them over and over (because Matt told me I couldn’t bring too much stuff). Yay for being practical! Not.
