I didn’t realize how many girls struggle with dry, damaged hair until I had a really bad dye job. Like really bad. I walked out of the salon last February with blue hair. I have no idea what the girl did to my hair but I know I should have walked out of that salon before I even sat in the chair. I literally wore my hair in a bun for 2 weeks afterward. I was so embarrassed. That’s when I realized how important hair is, at least to me.
Moving to Chicago was a huge adjustment on so many fronts. The city, the people, and the weather to name a few. There were things I never had to think about before that I now think about every day! One of those is my skin. Specifically, dry skin. Everywhere. Read between the lines here, people!
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m terrible when it comes to beauty maintenance. Absolutely terrible. Don’t get me wrong. I love beauty products and am a slave to my skincare routine. However, if I can’t do something at home on my own, it’s not for me. My brief stint with eyelash extensions was well, brief. I’m SO grateful to the balayage trend for making your absence from the salon a little less noticeable. Don’t judge. I just like being self sufficient! Read More
After my curing iron died on our honeymoon, I thought it was time for a change and I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair lately! So, I’m sharing what I’m now using. The T3 styling wand has been an amazing addition to my beauty routine. Not only is it pretty to look at with its white and rose gold coloring but it leaves my hair with curls that actually stay. Anyone with stick straight hair like myself will understand just how significant this is. I mean, it’s huge! With the interchangeable rods, it can be used in so many ways and for so many types of hair. Talk about an all in one product!!
Continuing on the theme of amazing products, I’m obsessed with this Free People tiered tank (which is on sale). I’m not one to get excited about basics but this piece has proven to be the best for layering. I’ve worn it 3 times this week and it also pairs well with this suede jacketon my Instagram! The second tier makes it just a little more interesting than your basic tank and is also uber flattering. With the cut out back, you can also pass this off as the perfect date night top! I love wearing this kind of top with bralettes because they are so comfortable!
