Two weekends ago, we celebrated Matt’s (my Instagram husband) 30th birthday with a marathon of events. For someone who hates having the attention on him, he really wanted to go big this year. I can’t think of anything worth celebrating more than him though (sappy but true)! Being relatively new to Chicago, one of the things we tried was a yacht cruise with Mystic Blue. Why not spend Sunday Funday on a boat?
Back in April, I worked with one of my favorite home decor brands, Kathy Kuo Home, to share how to create a cozy corner. Well, with temps on the rise, there’s no longer a need to get cozy. It’s time to move things outdoors! With that in mind, I asked Kathy Kuo to share her tips on throwing a perfect summer soiree. The dinner party to end all dinner parties! Here’s what she had to say…
And yes, I’m cheating on the Friday Five a little with a Friday Seven!
We are back in Chicago this morning after a weekend in Charleston!I completely fell in love with all the southern architecture in Charleston. More to come on that later this week. This quick weekend trip was just what we needed to relax and recharge for a couple busy weeks ahead. Summertime in Chicago is quite different than winter! There is just so much stuff going on!
I finally got to see the flamingo wall!! This was one of the first spots I noticed when we moved to Chicago. When you’re going to our apartment from the airport, you pass this mural. So I mean it when I say one of the first! It’s pretty close to our apartment but for whatever reason, we hadn’t made it there until now. I wanted to wait for the perfect outfit to shoot there and by week 3 of A Dress A Day, I think I’ve found it!
